Replaced my aging 74GB WD Raptor (which I purchased second hand 2 years ago!) with the brand new 300GB VelociRapor 10,000 rpm SATA hard drive.
Its unbelievably fast and is facinating that it is actually a 2.5" hard drive in a 3.5" heatsink/adaptor.
Its not the same form factor as laptop hard drives but the same as 2.5" SAS server hard drives.

As a (now very late) Mother's day present, I'm upgraing mum from a AthlonX2 4600+ 2GB system to a Core2Duo E6400 2GB system with a freaking huge Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme heatsink. As you can see by the photo... I misjudged the height of the bloody thing so now I've got to mod the case just to fit it.
