Sexual Discrimination Abounds!

Oh how the world is completely wrong. Political correctness dictates that sexual discrimination is wrong unless it is discriminating against men.

A national paid maternity leave scheme has been proposed that would mean all employers and workers would pay a levy to fund six months of leave for new mothers.

The model also allows four weeks' paid paternity leave for fathers.

Imagine the furor if legislation gave men six and a half times MORE benefit than women? What about me? When I have kids I'm going to want to spend as much time at home as I can!

  • David, having a baby is hard a woman's body she needs some time to rest and at least for the first 6 weeks no childcare centre will take on looking after a baby so SOME time mother's need to stay home.

If a woman goes back to work you have two thoughts. Either she works and the baby is in childcare thus paying a whole lot of money. Or the father stays home while the mother goes to work thus saving on childcare.

In some area's women cannot get paid as much as a man can. I know that if I went to work and Jeremy stayed home financially we would be worse off. It is easier for some men to work or you will have to have a strict budget. Or you could also job share.

Carol Burnett said it best when she said for a man to experience childbirth is easy... just take your bottom lip and stretch it all the way over the top of your head!

    Cheers
