Burst water-mains are always fun, at least for me. I love the feeling of fresh clay beneath my tyres. There is this kind of freedom I feel when controlling a car on a slippery surface, relaxing and fun.

Perhaps I should look again into that 3 day rally driving course just outside of Perth...

Silence.

I have just finished building a custom system for the Chief Executive of one of our biggest customers and, other than the power light, you can not tell if it is on or off.

I used the Antec P150 case with a completely passive motherboard, an Intel Core2 Duo E6600 with the standard heatsink replaced with a Thermalright SI-120 and a sythe 120mm 9dB fan.

The hard drive is the Seagate 750GB 7200.10 because it is near silent from its fluid dynamic bearings and one of the fastest because of the data density.

The video card is the passively-cooled XFX 7950GT. My expectations of this system were high but have been exceeded.

Finally, after waiting what seems like a lifetime, the (unofficial) sequel to one of my favorite games ever (Total Annihilation) hs been release.

Supreme Commander is the game so many long-term gamers have yearned for. The first game was incredible, so far beyond any other RTS (Real Time Strategy) and the followup was a bit of a let-down. Total Annihilation Kingdoms was supposed to top TA as an even better RTS but failed.

Now they have listened and given as Supreme Commander. A RTS in which you can "zerg rush" as well as hunker down for a 6 hour battle including the inevitable giant robots and artillery which can hit anything on the map.

I have high-hopes for this game and the beta has proven to have promise.
